First off, congratulations to the adult Blazing Sun wrestling team for their performance at the Maine Skirmish 2002.
Instructor Rob Stewart brought his team to Winslow Maine this year to compete in the annual tournament. With him went Mike Hillis, Adrian Weissman, TJ O’Donnell, Mark Prew Derrell Lipman, Bryan Robillard, Ed McKenna, and Dave O’Leary. Extra congrats to TJ, who also is the Grand Champion in his division.
Although all wrestled well, unfortunately as in every tournament and competition, just like this past summers kids wrestling tournament, there were a few bad decisions made by imperfect judges. Which brings us to this editorial
We train to be successful, we train to win, but winning and success doesn’t always happen for us, especially if left to the hands of others
There is a new kids wrestling tournament coming in Weymouth on December 15th. The kids are starting to train for this now. Bad calls and controversial decisions always happen, you can depend on it, so in the end you really can’t take the competitions to seriously. The real point of these tournaments is to test yourself and to have fun doing it.
